One Year Wedding Anniversary

Benjamin and I spent our anniversary exploring Bury St. Edmunds.  Bury St. Edmunds is about 15 miles away from RAF Lakenheath.  The Abbey of Bury St Edmunds was once one of the richest Benedictine monasteries in England.  The Abbey was built in the eleventh and twelfth centuries. All that's left now is its ruins.

             

The Abbey Gardens, which surround the ruins, was picture perfect. It was a very peaceful area perfect for a picnic.
