Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

Here we are, on day 3 of snow in England! It actually snowed AGAIN last night. This is probably the most snow I've ever seen in my whole life! WOW!

In other news, a lot of the food at the commissary comes from Germany. We have a whole section of German food. Ben and I decided to try gnocchi! This is actually the second time I've made this dish. However, all the words, as you can imagine, are in German. I had to use a translation website, babelfish, to get an idea of how to cook these bad boys. I don't really think the translation helped. What do you think?
German: Mit besten, frischen Zutaten.

English: With best, freshness added. Serve-finished prepares up to the last handles. Try in addition best one of our many wonderful gourmet Saucen. They need to offnen only the bag to and to cook the Gnocchi in cooking seawater, until they up-swim. Or the Gnocchi in the pan in omitted butter anbraten briefly.

Up-swim? Haha...I think that's my favorite part!! And I don't have seawater...hmm...

Snow...the kind that doesn't melt as soon as it hits the ground

The night before, it was snowing like crazy! I waited for a phone call to say that we would at least have some sort of delay. No such call every came and I had to drive to work! I kept walking around the house saying, 'Unbelievable'. North Carolina-ians don't know how to drive in snow!

Here is a close up on the tire...this looks completely safe, doesn't it?

You can't even see my feet! I had to wear my rainboots in this mess, guess I need to get some snowboots!

YAY! I only had to go to work for an hour and then they closed the base! Although, I think they made the call a little too late.

Here the house:

It's hard to tell from this picture, but we got 4 inches of British snow!

SNOW!

Around 12:00 today, you could see just a few snow flurries mixed in with rain.

Here we are at around 8:00 pm!

I just had to get one more picture!
How cool would a white Christmas in England be? TOO COOL!

The weather here is predictable in it's unpredictability.

The weather in England is super unpredictable! For instance, the other day it was a beautiful morning. The sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky. By lunch time it was extremely cloudy and started down pouring! Minutes later the hail started coming. Now I had always heard about the hail in San Angelo, Texas <~ a god forsaken place, I hope no one has to go. We NEVER had hail there, but jolly ol England did! When I got home, this is what the front yard looked like.

This is my friend's neighbors house! It looks like it snowed!
